Friends, I’m sorry that I didn’t write yesterday! To tell you the truth, I was just completely exhausted!
Do you remember the other day, when I told you about how I worked in the morning and galloped like crazy in the afternoon? Well, yesterday, I worked in the morning again – and Mommy and I got to jump! Of course, I knew that I would be jumping that day, because Mommy and Daddy gave me marshmallows! I got to have a couple before I worked… and that always means that it’s jumping day.
Marshmallow day is always a beautiful day – and it was yesterday, too! It was warm but not too hot, and there was a little breeze, with clouds covering the sky and keeping the sun from getting too hot. It was perfect.
Anyway, because I had tired myself out so thoroughly the day before, I was super tired yesterday. I did my best and behaved like a perfect gentleman, but I was about ready to fall over by the end of our workout!
Of course, Mommy knew that and didn’t make me do too much. We jumped a course set to about 3’3 and then she let me be finished for the day. The course was really fun, though; it was a new course that Daddy set up for us!
Mommy and Daddy each gave me more marshmallows when I was finished, as a reward for being such a good boy.
Today I worked in the morning again. It was an easier flat workout, but we worked for a good hour. I mean, don’t get me wrong; we took plenty of walking breaks. But hour-long workouts are tough, no matter how easy they are!
Wait, did that make sense?
Anyway, Mommy said that Daddy is going to ride me tomorrow evening after he’s finished working. That means I’ll get all of the rest of today and all of tomorrow off, which is almost like a whole day off. But I don’t get another day off until Monday, unless it rains before then. It’s going to rain later today. In fact, I think I just heard thunder…
So, apparently, Mommy and Daddy have a HUGE surprise for me on Sunday. They won’t tell me what it is; they just keep saying that I’m going to have SO much fun. I know there’s no horse show this Sunday, though… so I’m not sure what’s going on. But I can’t wait to find out! I’ll be sure to tell you all about it when I do!
Alright, I’d better go and get under the cover of my shelter. I think it’s going to start pouring down rain any minute now!
Stay dry, friends! Catch y’all tomorrow…
